EMIS Access is an online service offered by the clinical computer system EMIS to allow patients to perform certain
tasks online. The system links into the practice’s clinical system and allows the patient, once they have registered
for the service to e.g. book appointments online without having to ring or call into the practice.

First of all you must register to use the Internet appointment booking facility. Ask the receptionist, for a
registration form, which provides the information you need to register to use the EMIS Access online system.

Appointment Booking - Registered patients can book routine appointments with a GP through the website. This
service also allows you to review and cancel any appointments that you have booked at the practice.

Repeat Prescriptions - Sometimes getting to the surgery to request a repeat prescription is not practical, so we
have an online service you may use to request a repeat prescription of a drug which has been set up by your doctor
for repeat prescribing.

Change Personal Details - Its really important to us that we know how to contact you for a whole range of reasons -
from simply changing an appointment to notifying you of an important test result. So please keep us informed if you
move, or change your name or phone number.

Foreign Travel Immunisations - To request an appointment to have your travel medicine requirements reviewed
and receive any necessary vaccines, please complete the on-line form as completely as possible. Please allow a few
days for the practice nurse to review your requirements then contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.
